Apparently Nintendo is going en masse after Let’s Play videos people have uploaded of Nintendo games. For the record, not only we’re perfectly cool with people doing Hairy Tales videos, but love to see them – we integrated Everyplay into Hairy Tales precisely so people could easily record videos of their sessions.
Go nuts! And if you do upload a video, let us know so we can feature it!
I am happy to announce that I have completed the submission process, and Hairy Tales will be coming to Windows and Mac via Desura on November 12. You can read more at IndieDB.
Hairy Tales is finally out! You can grab it here for iPhone and iPad (it’s a Universal app) or on the Mac AppStore. We are so far getting excellent comments on the TouchArcade forums, so feel free to stop by and add your two cents – we even had two players post their own gameplay videos, which showcase different solutions for some of the initial stages!
To celebrate, here’s a wallpaper with all four Hairys (click on the image for the full resolution);
Or you can click here for a 1024×768 version.
And we’re back to the wallpapers! Here’s the fourth Hairy wallpaper, this time featuring Sloppy (click for full resolution):
Sloppy doesn’t have his own world (yet), but he shows up as a supporting character in some of the other worlds, where you’ll have to lead more than one Hairy on some stages.
To celebrate the news of the simultaneous iOS/Mac release, here’s a 1280×1024 wallpaper of the first forest boss, Chur (who you may have already seen if you follow us on Twitter). Click on the thumbnail below for the full image.
We’ll return to our regularly scheduled Hairy wallpaper days tomorrow.
Even more Hairy Tales news! We will release on the Mac AppStore simultaneously as on iOS, this coming Thursday October 25th. I am also getting things ready to release on Desura soon after, and have updated the Hairy Tales page on IndieDB with some more recent images.
I can’t wait for Thursday!
The nice folks at IndieDB have started a parallel effort called SlideDB, to help mobile developers promote their games. It appears to be a mobile-focused filter of the IndieDB data, which means that as a developer you don’t have to enter everything twice (yay!). I was updating Hairy Tales’ information with the release date and recent screenshots, and noticed that we’re currently #62 out of 1081. Not too shabby, but let’s raise it some more!
